Whether you visit our guesthouse in any season, you will not be bored. Benecko is a paradise for sports, tours and excursions. We bring you a few tips on what you can take:
Winter season
- Downhill skiing
Ski area Benecko offers several daily adapted downhill tracks, which are located about 300 m from our pension. Families with children, beginners and experienced skiers and snowboarders “come into their own”. New snowpark and snowtubbing are also available here.
Four-chair lift and a further 11 lifts give you comfort when skiing. On three slopes, you will also enjoy night skiing.
All visitors to the ski resort can choose from several ski schools, ski rentals (downhill ski, cross-country skis) and snowboards.
If you will want to try a different area, you can just go over the top Žalý, and enjoy in the ski area Herlíkovice - Bubákov.
- Cross-country skiing
Around our guesthouse, there are cross-country skiing tracks regularly adapted for classic skiing and skating, along which you can reach all corners of the Giant Mountains - for example Špindlerův mlýn, Horní Mísečky, Labská bouda, Kotel, Sněžné jámy, Petrovy boudy, Dívčí kameny, Harrachov, etc.
Everyone will choose - experienced skiers as well as recreational runners.
- Sledding
You can also try lots of trails for sledding and bobsledding.
Children's lift (poma) for the youngest skiers, which also offers a ski school, is located at 100 m distance from our house.
- Bowling
After a lot of skiing, you can still enjoy bowling.
Summer season
- Cyclotourism - take a bike to explore the beauty of nature within the different challenging cycling trails. Right in the centre, it is possible to rent a bike and cycle buses are also provided.
- Hiking - climb to the ridges of the Giant Mountains or enjoy a romantic walk around the Giant Mountains National Park.
- Mushrooming in the beautiful forests of the Giant Mountains - the best way to clear your head.
- Experience a bit of adrenaline - summer rides on carts directly around the Benecko.
- A trip to the local lookout Žalý, where you can see not only the rest of the peaks of Giant Mountains, but also the wide landscape. When normal visibility, you can see Ještěd, Ralsko, Bezděz, Kozákov, Mladá Boleslav etc. In perfect visibility, for example after the rain, it can be seen Prague, the mountain Říp and other panorama that takes your breath away.
- Go out also on an ecological farm of Janova hora, where you can ride on the Hucul horses.
- In Jilemnice, you will certainly appreciate the Giant Mountains Museum with a variety of historical exhibits.
- If you would like to experience more water fun - we recommend an aqua park in Špindlerův Mlýn, or a swimming pool in Vrchlabí.
- Geocaching - let yourself to go into a global game that uses GPS technology to discover the treasures on Benecko.
- You can spend your time actively also on a "green", that is play golf. You can choose from several golf courses.
